May ride report
We had thirteen riders for the May BUG ride yesterday.
We started at CERES and rode:
- Along the Merri Creek path to Rushall Station
- The Capital City trail along the Linear Park, past the Zoo and down to the Moonee Ponds path
- Into Docklands (for a coffee)
- Down to, and then along, along the light rail shared path to Port Melbourne
- Along the beach path from Port Melbourne to Beacon Cove and on to Westgate Park
- Through Westgate Park to the river punt
The punt across the Yarra River is running on weekends and public holidays and costs $3 for anyone over the age of 10.
We caught the river punt (in two stages, as the punt only holds 12 people and there was a group of riders already there) to Newport and rode along the bay to Williamstown.
We finished the ride with fish & chips in Williamstown.
After Williamstown, some people caught the train home while others rode back via Footscray Rd and along the Moonee Ponds bike path – Capital City trail.
See you next month!
