The Labor Party in Merri-bek have a new policy platform which seeks to introduce additional consultation for Streets for People projects, doesn’t support 30kph trials (although some Labor candidates do) and mentions protected bike lanes in the context of ‘off road networks’. The track record of incumbent Labor Party councillors shows that they do not consistently vote to support Merri-bek Transport Strategy policies.
